My summer

Well, my summer hasn't been the greatest so far, but hopefully there will be improvements in the future (doubtful, but a possibility). Let me give a recap of it so far:

1. I came home on May 5 and that very same day, discovered that my cat has cancer. She was put to sleep today.

2. My gran is on the verge of being diagnosed with Alzheimers. I say on the verge because everyone (including her doctor) is positive that she has it.

3. My brother left for Fort Benning, GA to be trained as an officer. Sadness.

4. I'm working two jobs, one of which I'm about to quit (Boys and Girls).

5. I have managed to get a lot of sleep and relax a bit since I got home. I also watched a sad movie the other night...Tristan and Isolde.

6. Sheena is getting married tomorrow!!!!! She had a funny lingere shower, too. : p

6. Kristine's wedding shower was awesome! She got tons of stuff, including at least 3 crockpots, lol.

Okay, time to go back to work. Sadness.

So Amber and I have decided, after a long discussion that involved naming the seven dwarfs (Doc, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Bashful, and Dopey) that my cat's name is Flower after the skunk in Bambi. So now I have a gay bear named Coop and an incredibly round, fat cat named Flower. Go figure.

Oh, and I'm now Mary Poppins because I'm "practically perfect in every way."

Wow. It's been a while since I updated. Let me see if I can summarize what's been going on. First of all, I am currently roommate less, running on 4 hours of sleep, and about to crash from exhaustion. I just turned in a BIG paper this morning and took a horrible midterm as well. My roomie had to withdraw for the rest of the semester, so I'm all alone. Oh, and I have another BIG paper due next Monday. Doesn't life sound grand?

Things could be worse, though. I have some really wonderful friends here who keep me from stressing too much. I've practically moved into Amber and Amanda's room, lol. Mom and Rob came down a couple of weekends ago to see me. It was fun! Actually got good foor for a change. :) I think I'm finally starting to adjust to being alone in my room, though Amanda, Amber and I had a sleepover last week. It gets lonely in this room! I'll be home over Easter Break, so give me a call if you want to hang out. Other than that, say a little prayer for me because this is going to be one stressful semester!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated. Let's see....I've been stressed as usual, but I'm getting much better at managing my anxiety. Seeing a counselor will do that for you.  Anyways, I'm coming home this Friday for Mardi Gras Break! I'll be home all week so give me a call if you want to hang out or something. : )
